CGE, CMGE Flange Insulation Kits are designed to maintain the integrity and reliability of the pipeline and piping system through safety and corrosion protection. Flange Insulation Kits provide an effective seal and electrical insulation of flanges. By eliminating metal to metal contact, static current is halted to prevent corrosion and aid in the cathodic protection of the pipe.
Insulation Kits are also used to prevent the flow of electrostatic charge to reduce sparking in hazardous environments.
The core of each gasket is made of annealed 316Lstainless steel. Other metals, Duplex and Inconel are available upon special order.
This material has excellent performance characteristics with very high compressive strength, high flexural strength, high dielectric strength and low fluid absorption.

Seal grooves are machined through the laminate isolation material and into the stainless steel core.
The CMGE is comprised of high-strength, glass-reinforced epoxy laminate bonded to a stainless steel 316L core. The CMGE system provides the strength of a traditional metallic seal while maintaining complete electrical insulation between the flange faces. CMGE is suitable for use in ASME/ANSI Class 600 to 2500, API 15000 pipework service.
The CGE has excellent performance characteristics with high compressive strength, high flexural strength, high dielectric strength and low fluid absorption. The CGE is suitable for use in ASME/ANSI class 150 and 300 service. The CGE is available in both full-face(Type E) and ring style (Type F) configurations.
